Victoria has one quarter of the rehab beds NSW has available (a conservative figure of around 208 public beds here in Victoria.) This means that only 1 in 6 beds are being offered for those in need of treatment.  There is a chronic shortage of beds with Victoria having the second lowest amount of Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation beds per capita in Australia.
